"I come from a proud family that has been involved with public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our schools, and support our environment. With nearly a decade of government experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate the complicated governmental agencies, and get things done."

Vision for Santa Fe as YOUR Representative

In my quest to become your next State Representative from district 45, I plan on protecting Government employees retirement fund and not allowing the PERA to be compromised by failed investments.

I will also help boost the economy to attract high paying jobs in Northern New Mexico so that our workforce is not depleted and our next generations of New Mexicans have the opportunity to raise their families here and not leave the state for better job opportunities.

One of my many top priorities is education and I intend to appropriate more funds for the classrooms and teachers’ salaries to help our state's education system become successful.  District 45 has within its boundaries three high schools:  Santa Fe High, Capital High and ECO vocational school. I intend to work hand in hand with the school district in order to see each of these high schools excel to be the best academically performing schools in the state. Our education system needs to be properly funded so that our students can be allowed to succeed in life!

As the son of a decorated World War II veteran, I intend to continue to support our veterans by advocating and sponsoring legislation to improve their access to benefits at the state level and working with DVA to help expedite federal benefits.

I also intend to improve and support funding for behavioral health care and recovery centers so those in need have access to programs and treatment to allow for care to be rendered without delays.

I intend to continue to support and bring forth legislation for Women's rights to include healthcare and planned parenthood. Many women tend to look for alternative health care many times from an unlicensed physician compromising their health. This needs to be corrected at the State level.

We live in what I consider the best State in the nation. We need to protect our fragile environment. I will continue to support and bring forth legislation to make this a reality. How luck are we as New Mexicans to have sun, wind and geothermal. We need to utilize them.

In closing, I was raised in House District 45 from the age of 3, I serve on the board of The Santa Fe Railyard Community Corporation, previously served on The Boys and Girls Club Board and The Santa Fe 400th Board. I have humble beginnings and never forgotten where I have come from and what it means to be a native Santa Fean and New Mexican. I look forward to the hard work I plan on dedicating to the citizens of District 45 and the State of New Mexico!
